This year The One in North America was bigger and better than ever before with over 400 athletes competing across Chicago, New York, and LA. From the Chicago Board of Trade, NYvsNY, to the Jordan Brand House, we showed up for the communities with access to elite training, product, and Jordan Family integration. Through The Jordan Design Studio, each city provided a platform for the next generation of designers to workshop with iconic Jordan Family to champion innovation around the AJ1.

chicago
The One took Chicago basketball
from the lakefront to the heart of the city.
We kicked off The One qualifiers at Foster Beach, bringing the energy of Chicago basketball to the lakefront in the heart of summer. Sun, music, community and competition came together on the court, capturing the unmistakable spirit of basketball in Chicago.
For the finals, we took it somewhere unexpected: the historic Chicago Board of Trade. The trading floor became the court, the iconic ticker became the backdrop, and nearly 30 years after the infamous CEO Jordan commercial was filmed in the building, a new generation of players took center stage.
The One celebrated the many sides of Chicago through the one thing that connects them all: basketball.

Jordan Family Integration
Jordan Family showed out in Chicago creating unforgettable moments for the next generation of Chicago basketball.
Leveraging The Clinic as a connection point to local Chicago youth, 50 boys and girls from two south side orgs joined us in Lincoln Park for the first activity on the artist dedicated community court. Kids were geared up in Tatum 4’s and led through a series of basketball drills and were then surprised and delighted to have NBA champion Jayson Tatum join them on court to help dish passes and give out high fives and smiles all around!

NEW YORK
NYC provided unmatched vibes
for The One City Finals.
Ending an already epic NYvsNY event, our city was shocked to see the transition to The One, where everything turned red, space on the court got smaller, and the pressure was on to determine who would be representing NYC in Shanghai.
With Tatum and Sarah Strong watching, two strong athletes and future pros stamped their ticket to Shanghai.

Jordan Family Integration
Our Jordan Family was welcomed with love as soon as they walked in. Grand entrances, integration with youth and the community, and moments with our NYC partners like Dyckman Basketball aided in overall consumer sentiment and reaction throughout their appearance.
Foot Locker: Invited Jayson Tatum to join us at Foot Locker Fordham Rd. in the Bronx for a morning of activities and fun with a neighborhood Boy& Girls Club. After briefly hearing from Jayson, 45 boys and girls rotated through three stations where they got to interact with him through t-shirt customization, player card generation, and reactive stick drop game. We capped the event with custom JT branded popsicles which were a hit for all!

Jordan Family Integration
A Jordan Family Takeover: Los Angeles showcased the depth and influence of the Jordan Family. Beyond Jayson Tatum, athletes including Trae Young, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Jason Crowe Jr., Davante Adams, Puka Nacua, and Myles Garrett helped transform the weekend, creating meaningful moments with youth, athletes, and consumers throughout the city. Additional Jordan Family in attendance included Chase B and OsamaSon.

Bringing Tatum Closer to the Community: From the Creative Workshop with Heart of LA to the Middle School 3v3 Tournament and community touchpoints throughout the weekend, Jayson Tatum's presence served as more than an appearance. It became a catalyst for connection, inspiration, and excitement as we continue building momentum toward the Tatum 5 launch.
Marketplace & Culture Elevated: Through our partnership with Foot Locker and curated Jordan experiences throughout the event footprint, we created a destination that brought together basketball, product, culture, and commerce. Courtside energy from Jordan Family DJs Aye Jaye and Chase B ensured the atmosphere matched the magnitude of the moment.

An Unforgettable Championship Moment: The defining story of the weekend belonged to Addison Uphoff, who delivered one of the most memorable moments in ONE history. Down 20-9, Addison refused to quit, mounting an incredible comeback to secure the victory and punch a ticket to Shanghai. LA Winner: Cheikh Tall moves seamlessly between the worlds of luxury fashion and community-driven storytelling. While his modeling career has placed him in front of some of the industry's most influential brands, his work with Royal.2 reflects a deeper mission: creating space for African culture, heritage, and identity to be celebrated through fashion, design, and collective expression.
Cheikh Tall on the Design Studio Workshop: “My experience at the Jordan Design Studio was both educational and inspiring. It pushed me to think quickly, work efficiently, and make the most of every moment. The conversations I had with everyone challenged me in the best way and encouraged me to dive even deeper into my story through the AJ1. More than anything, the experience was reassuring. It made me feel seen, validated, and even more confident in my journey as a creative.”

key takeaways

Celebrating the unique culture of hoops and streetwear in each city through storytelling and heroing local protagonists, allowed us to authentically resonate with our consumers.

Strategic investment to ensure we are in the path of consumer across partners and audiences at scale beyond Jordan owned channels drives measurable impact. Inclusive of media partners, Jordan Athletes and Design Mentors, content creators and The One Athletes and designers.

Landing The One at key Direct and Partner (Foot Locker) doors allowed us to scale The One across our key cities. Due to product delays and weather, the opportunity remains to capture more demand.

As a Brand, we are at our best when the Jordan Family makes big bigger and exemplifies greatness at the highest level. From our athletes, Jayson Tatum, Napheesa Collier, Azzi Fudd, Dearica Hamby, Jess Sims, Trae Young, Sarah Strong, Myles Garrett, to our artists and entertainers, Nina Chanel, Chris Gibbs, Angelo Baque, Chase B, and many, many more.
what's next
This week we celebrate all six athletes and three designers across NYC, Chicago, and LA as they embark on their journey to Shanghai. Providing elite training for preparation at The One Global Finals, honoring their accomplishments at Nike Direct Doors and NYvsNY with their loved ones, and gearing each one up with the best product. North America is ready for the 3-peat!
